Let's forget aniline this, aniline dyed that, top grain, full grain
and the confusing list goes on and on. Let's just keep it simple.
98% of all leather furniture falls into 3 categories.
Let's test your leather and see what category it falls into. Then
we will know how to maintain it.
1.Moisten your finger with your tongue and rub your leather 5 to 10 times.
If your leather darkens immediately you have the silk blouse or a chihuahua of leathers.
This type of leather must be treated with care just like you would treat a silk blouse
or a chihuahua. It stains easily and is difficult and complicated to clean.
2. If your leather darkens after 5 or 6 rubs you have a T-shirt or poodle of leathers.
Your leather stains if you are not careful and can be confusing when it comes to cleaning.
3. If you leather doesn't darken at all, then you have the denim jacket or bulldog of leathers.
This leather is hard to damage, stands up to lots of use and is easy to clean.
