The Scrap corner
Every workshop has a space where bits of leftover material from different projects all build-up together. Come explore our little scrap corner as we reflect on and remember some beautiful projects from the past.
Whoops! When Accidents Happen
Oops! Eek! Ah! Whoops! Nooo! These are all cries that we are familiar with in the leather repair and restoration business, but don’t worry because our team is here to help. Check out this nearly magical repair project that our craftsmen took on recently to revitalize an aniline dyed leather banquette that suffered an unfortunate run-in with hot candle wax.
Restoring a Midcentury Masterpiece
Join us as we stand in awe of this incredible white leather chaise lounger designed by the famous Bauhaus architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Our team was privileged to perform the restoration work on this iconic piece and were able to clean and condition the leather to return its subtle splendor.
Restoring an Antique Camel Saddle
Just in time for the holy month of Ramadan, we had the privilege to restore an antique camel saddle - one of the more unique pieces we have had in the shop as of late. While leather repair is like a science, leather restoration is best described as an art form, one our craftsmen were excited to exercise on this piece.
Reupholstering a Brazilian Sofa
Lucky us! We had the opportunity to do a full leather reupholstery job on this incredible, Brazilian-esque three-seater lounge sofa. It was a pleasure to take this piece from its original worn vinyl to this stunning leather with a 1970s vintage vibe.
